... Ronny Heberson Furtado de Araújo, Ronny for short.
... on May 11, 1986, in Fortaleza, Brazil.
... 1.75 m and my weight is 74 kg.
... is in the midfield or in the defence.
... are very ambitious and support us any way they can. This is absolutely remarkable. We certainly wouldn't have won promotion as commandingly as we did without them. And I'm sure they will also help us to a quite a few wins in the top flight.
... cold, very cold. In Brazil, you just can't imagine such temperatures. In my home country it's comfortably warm almost throughout the whole year. So that's why I prepare myself: as soon as we have the first frost, I immediately reach for a hat, scarf and gloves. I have learned from the last winter here in Germany.
... I mainly listen to pagode. This musical style can be compared to samba. When I listen to pagode, it always reminds me of Brazil. Then the longing for home isn't quite so strong in some moments. ... I like almost everything. It is very nice here - the parks, the opportunities for going out, the flair: there's somethig very special about Berlin. And even though many people think it's quite hectic over here, you can find peace and relax brilliantly in many areas of the capital.

... then I like watching basketball. Normally I can't manage without football for too long. So it's only very rarely that I'm not up for it. But if this happens to be the case, then I prefer following the NBA on television. I'm also interested in Alba Berlin.
... a really nice period and my first major experience far from home. Sporting were my first club in Europe and I was instantly able to learn a lot. Of course it was advantage that there was no language barrier I had to overcome. That made it a bit easier for me in the beginning.
... was the birth of my daughter Izabelly - unforgettable. It was the most moving moment for me so far. I thank God every day anew that she is there.
... there's usually a sports channel on. That's quite logical, as football is, after all, my life. But I'm also interested in other sports, I'm particularly partial to ball games. Apart from that, I can laugh loudly about comedies and sitcoms.
... my family. They mean everything to me. Without them I wouldn't be the person I am today. They give me the support I need, especially in difficult situations. How could I live without my loved ones?
